  • Cannot enter service mode on multiple modules

Hello, I am having troubles with Smart obd tool. I have tried connect and read dtc codes on bench with multiple modules but without luck. I checked wiring connection and changed it, I tried reinstalling the program but all without luck. Smart obd works fine with smartprog adapter (read eprom). Is it possible that hardware tool went bad? Is something I did not check? thanks

      CAN2H is not working.
Check if there is a resistor soldered in. You need to remove it.

Hi, there is no resistor soldered in. Is there any other fix?

Select "SmartOBD Test" in ASTPro, make a connection and run the test.

Then the MCP2551 is damaged, near that resistor in the picture.

I ordered mcp. Will report if that solves the issue. Thanks for help!
