HOW TO USE THE CPT CAN ADAPTER?

Can you please explain how do you use the CPT CAN Adapter?

Hello !

Some customers have problem with correct read dumps from H8SX MCU family using JTAG. Fact ... it is not simple way.

Now we have create new simple option for read dump from Toyota and Subaru H8SX MCU fmaily using CPT CAN Adapter.





Select OBD-II section in CPT exe.



Just 4 cable connected from CPT CAN Adapter to SRS module connector:

1. CAN H
2. CAN L
3, 12V
4. GND

IMPORTANT INFORMATION !!!

1. CPT must have conencted ACP12E NOKIA power adapter.
- NEVER USE OTHER POWER ADAPTER.
- NEVER CONNECT 12V DIRECT TO CPT DC CONNECTOR

2. CPT CAN ADAPTER must have connected 12V 2A
- WE RECOMMEND POWER BLACK BOX 12V 2.3A

3. CPT CAN ADAPTER work after OBD II selected in CPT main menu
4. Activation Renesas H8SX R5F6172x or R5F6179x required







Correct readed dump customer need send to us.
Customer need create post in support forum with dump
We add CLEAR File to "Clear File Database" on support area very fast.

NOTE !!!

You can use CPT CAN Adapter only with activations:

- Renesas H8SX R5F6172x JTAG UART CAN Programmer CRASH DATA Remover

- Renesas H8SX R5F61797 J-TAG UART CAN Programmer CRASH DATA Remover.



For stable 12V you can use our Power adaptor (not included with CPT CAN ADAPTER)

Every time i try to use it, it gives me
Init flash fail! Possible wrong chip selection!
i opened the module to be sue of the chip type.
still have issues with it.
i connected power to my cpt
i also connected to the CAN ADAPTER
1. does my cpt need to be activated for obd-ii?

Can you also write with this CAN ADAPTER tool? or it's just for reading?

it should be able to read and write once you get the hang of it, am yet to figure it out though becurse every time i try to use it its give jtag not connected

i think cpt is working on how to show us how this adapter functions

Use Jumper to connect P2 on CPT CAN Adapter
Connect ACP12E power adapter to CPT BOX.

All work correct.
Just conbnect all correct device for your tool.

Connect ACP12E NOKIA oryginal power adapter to CPT.
I see you use wrong device.

Use just oryginal equipment from sales set !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
