  • Need some advice / help with Toyota Highlander.

    Toyota Highlander I think 2020
    part number : 89170-0E420
    chip : R7F7
i was doing the module through smartOBD on the car and when I was barely at 10% writing the vehicle turned off and then it turned ignition on only by itself. The battery was originally dead so that’s why customer put their jumper / battery maintainer but soon after I notice the freaking jumper was low battery so ThTs why vehicle shut off. Anyway, I left because I have another car to work on at my shop so I didn’t try clearing crash again or to remove the module. I’m going back tmrw. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this with the same kind of CPU. This happened to me once before with an R5F6 and I was able to repair the module with CPT.

And also the module was showing up as a Lexus.

    thanks in advance.

You do not need to remove or restore it with CPT. Just try Clear Crash by OBD again. All toyota R7F7 can be written again by OBD.
