  • Most Horrible Support Possible

I am not sure what this company model is, but it seems they some how forget that no matter how much, we're all paying customer, none of their products are free. After digging through the forum I realized I am not the only person experiencing support issue.

I purchase a product, I expect it to work as intended, I did not design the product, i do not expect to spend money to be helping a company to building a product I purchase to use.

Please correct me if I am wrong, is there a documentation on the works of ISP Adapter and CPT? There are all these headers, some of them with obvious and straightforward markings like VCC, GND, CAN etc. However, these other headers, where are the documentation on how they work????

Usually we find pinout and any ISP configuration settings provided by the manufacturer of the company, obviously they make the product and understand it best. This company get mad at you for not understanding their product.

I have other SRS tool that does not even have any sort of headers for hardware configuration and it work as intended.

I followed instructions provided by CPT for specific module, all bridges, removal and soldering. I am able to read and not able to clear crash as per instructions with the M16 file. I noticed a lot of other users facing the same issue.

I don't know what this company model is, but it sure isn't a good one. At this point, i recently purchased an activation for this module and it's clearly not working, i will have to request a refund.

This is why you need multiple tools....but also AST & AST CAN saves me hours of labor because I can pretty much do every module by OBD. This tool is actually the greatest tool I've seen in the industry. Not only does it give you all the solutions for free, but it gives you the ability to read 80% modules by CAN.

I can say this tool is the best tool I have....next to STOOL & ETL, Carprog....etc

I totally agree with you, somewhat though do not like ETL pricing.

CPT is a great tool when it works properly, much more coverage, and less labor as you pointed out. The issue is really with support, they are very lacking. I spoke to Greg, he hang up the phone and told me i did not know how to do my job when I am following the very same instructions he provided for his product, as if I designed the product and know the internal working of his product. Even debug log is encrypted, and no real documentation about majority of those headers. I am not going to try to reverse engineer his product, I don't have time for that, which is why we pay for a product that work and do what they said it would do.

When I initially contacted him, he could have dealt with the matter the way he is now, showing interest in finding out what the problem is, instead of jumping to conclusion and hanging up the phone. This actually isn't the first he done this, he did this before, and after searching through the forum, I see where several others are sharing the same experience.
